Where is the best place to get fair resale value for your jewelery / old engagement ring?

Is there a jewelery type place in Orange County California that gives close to appraisal value or at least a fair value offer when selling an ex-engagement type ring? Any ideas to point me in the right direction? Thanks~

2. Usually larger cities ( if you live near one) have jewelry or diamond exchanges or districts. Kind of like a jewelry "mall" You can go from shop to shop to have them make you an offer of what your jewelry is worth if you want to sell it. Asking for an appraisal may cost a small fee. Please don't go to pawn shops.
